Dredge Wind and Invigorate the Blood Decoction

Pattern: Wind-Dampness, Phlegm, and Blood Stasis in the joints

Key Symptoms: Sharp pain in the all the joints which may be red and swollen and accompanied by stiffness, hypertonicity and parasthesia


Ingredients

Dang Gui 3g
Chuan Xiong 3g
Wei Ling Xian 3g
Bai Zhi 3g
Han Fang Ji 3g
Huang Bai 3g
Dan Nan Xing 3g
Cang Zhu 3g
Qiang Huo 3g
Gui Zhi 3g
Hong Hua 0.9g

Subsitutions:
In the UK two herbs must be substituted:
Fang Ji == Yi Yi Ren + Hai Tong Pi
Dan Nan Xing == Tian Zhu Huang or Tian Nan Xing + Zhu Ru


Preparation: Decoct with 5 slices of Sheng Jiang.


Actions: Expels Wind-Dampness, transforms Dampness and Phlegm, moves Blood



Notes:
If Blood Stasis is pronounced more herbs which invigorate the Blood should be added.
